I’m Robert Brown, a Dutch-based cartoonist and writer from the UK.
I’ve been publishing comics since 2004, beginning with my solo anthology series, Dream Logic. I studied at the University of Gloucestershire, where I helped inaugurate the BA Illustration annual Olio.
I began publishing my ongoing cartoon memoir series, Killjoy, in 2011. My first book-length comic, The Many Not the Few: An Illustrated History of Britain Shaped by the People, written by Sean Michael Wilson, came out in June 2019.I’ve also contributed strip cartoons to anthology series such as Solipsistic Pop, Paper Tiger Comix, and Sea Mouse, and illustrated pieces for Soaring Penguin’s Eisner-nominated To End All Wars and New Internationalist’s Portraits of Violence.
Aside from cartooning, I’ve worked as a writer and narrative designer on a number of video games, including Stellaris: Shadows of the Shroud, Stargate: Timekeepers, and Boti: Byteland Overlocked.
